New 4.4 owner

I come from an 03' e53 3.0i before but unfortunately a distracted driver hit me and totaled it. Since then the search has been on for my ideal e53. I knew i wanted the towing package again, I had to have pano roof and face lifted so that put me into the 05's range. after searching for a while i found a near perfect 2005 e53 with just at 100k miles. I test drove and fell in love. I had it PPI'd and away I went. I have to say the difference between the 3.0 and the 4.4 was a lot more than I had thought it was going to be. I am very happy with the purchase.

I already put on are the tinted LED tails lights. I made myself a hot air intake and heatshield also. I ordered the interior LED lights and the led halo lights from ECS tuning.(will be in this week)

I have also have on order the 4.8is body pieces and the 2" lift kit from sarek off road.

Its not complete yet. Still need the rubber guard on top of the box but it seals to the hood and does a decent job.

na its a hot air intake since its technically still in the engine bay. For me to consider it a cold air intake it would need to be down lower behind the bumper or something but worried about water etc so hot air it is.

Side note I have a full front and rear bushing kit coming so i can refresh all the suspension. Anyone have an link to replacement bags that you guys like to use?(my first air bag rear e53) I want to replace mine for piece of mind and that ill be doing some towing in the next few months and don't want to rely on the 11 year old bags.

Looks good.

If close in the top and front side it will draw the air from the bumper area and will be cold air intake. That's how the Dinan cold air system is designed.

thanks everyone! Im excited to get working on this one. Ive always loved the IS body and cant wait to get it on this one.

this was my old 3.0i had 265/45's semi mud tires on the stock wheels. gave it a bit more height and made it nice for the ranch. never got stuck in the SAV. even pulled a few trucks out of the mud.
