Anyone try these E3 spark plugs?

E3/Spark Plug E3.64- ReadReviews onE3 #E3.64

I'm curious as im about to replace my spark plugs and these came up in the results of compatible plugs. I've always run NGKS but people (non bmw from what i found) seem to really like these plugs.

Any input?

Thanks

I don't know anything about those E3 ones, but it would take a lot of convincing to get me to move away from the NGK Platinum or Iridium.

I replaced the plugs at about 170k in my new-to-me 3.0i, with no records of them having been replaced before, but thinking they could not possibly be original. After replacing them, I was convinced they were the originals. They said BMW on them, along with NGK. They appeared uniformly well worn, although not damaged. Removing them from the head was difficult, as if they had been there for a long time. BUT, they were functioning perfectly well. I noticed no change when replacing them with NGK BKR6EQUP (Platinum), exactly like the ones that came out, except no "BMW" on them.

I don't see much up-side from trying something different from the specified NGK Platinum or Iridium, and there is always a risk with something that has not proven itself.

But good luck if you try them out, and please keep us posted if anything interesting happens.

I've never been a fan of the 3 electrodes, shields the gap from getting a good flow of the fuel air mixture and those look they would be even worse.

Welcome to marketing hype
"Wake up the potential of your engine"
"Extreme flame"
Etc
Etc

Run, do not walk away from this plug. Great profit margins for the seller.

Note: Bosch, Champion, NGK all are "OEM" to BMW and have been for years. The 4.8is came with NGK fine wires from the factory, 6 cyl came with either Bosch multiple prongs or single depending on the year and source at the time of production. US BMW Parts & Service uses Bosch and NGK. Europe has all three.

On the other end of plug technology spectrum there are fine wire plugs that use precious metals to allow long life and increased performance over the life of a plug. Life span of plugs: 60-100K, What type of engine RPM, load, and fuel usage will determine life span. Most users wouldn't know the difference between old plugs at 80K VS new plugs. Use these NGK plugs and you will never look back as they will perform all day long, provide good idle, tip in acceleration performance, and will burn everything in the cylinders. What more can you ask from a plug?

Choices

Now go buy a GOOD gaping tool and use it to measure the gap of the ground strap/wire/electrode BEFORE installation.

I held on to YOUR plugs for show and tell.....

They are from a web posting on oil burning. Thought it shows "used plugs" quite well.
