Agree, the 4.6is and 4.8is are the top vehicles is the class. The present X5M is their only equal.

Before buying my E70 3.5 i gave the 5.0 serious consideration. For starters, the 3.5 is more powerful than my 4.4 V8. Secondly from a maintenance and gas consumption point the 3.5 was a good choice. And finally, I rarely if ever used the full potential of my 4.4. So the 3.5 was my best choice. You should at least drive a 3.5 before you decide. I did want the M5 look though which I completely enjoy.
