I have Bridgestone Dueller H/L on my X5. (You listed Alenza, my Duellers say Alenza on them also.) They supposedly have an 80,000 mile warranty, I see no reason to think I won't get that.

Thanks jdStrickland, so how is the Bridgestone performing on your x5?
Any thoughts from the Northeast drivers? My tires will be working in Canada’s east coast!

The Perillis are rated a little meh for Winter/Snow Performance, important in Canada I'm guessing. Bridgestone and Michelins seem to get good reviews.
I usually stick with Continentals. The ExtremeContact DWS and the CrossContact LX25 are both available in your size and price range. Both get great reviews.

After much debate, I put the Conti DWS on mine. I don’t particularly like the Premier. The DWS does reasonably well in the snow and is almost as good as a “performance” snow. It’s great in the wet and dry and is my go to tire for all season duty.
That said, if you’re serious about Canadian winter driving, nothing replaces a real snow tire.

Actually I do use dedicated snow tires for winters. But I am now in Texas and on summer tires, will head back north in February, and don’t want to be driving into the northern lands on summer tires. So figured to put on all season that will get me home safely.
The Conti DWS says they’re for touring sedans not SUV (sorry SAV) but their specs of weight and speed loading are within x5 requirements.

I currently have my summer Falken Azenis 255/50r19 on all 4. They fit on the rear 10” rims
Would the Contis or Michelin pilot 3 or 4 at 255/50r19 fit on the 10 rims? Has anyone experience with them?

I like the DWS tires on my x5's if they are available in the tire size and its not one of the ones that has runflats.
That means out of the 3 x5's I have only one can run the DWS tires. They do great and I prefer them over the cooper tires the other older x5 runs but I cant get them in the size wheels it has. The newest of my x5's has runflats and I run the scorpion verdes on it and love them. So if you can get the DWS to fit its a great tire. I havent used them in snow yet but for wet grass and mud they do pretty good. They do awesome in the rain.

I'm confused... Why would you put square tires on staggered rims? A 255/50 on the front would call for something like a 275/45 on the rear. But, to answer the question, if you are currently using a 255/50x19 on all four corners, then you can use any brand of 255/50x19. |
