Door stuck after carrier replaced
Hi,
I spent some time changing the rear door handle carrier, as the door couldn't be opened from the outside. I had done this for the front door and had no issues. I closed the door before replacing the door card, which seems like a 'lucky' thing to have done. I am now unable to open the door using either the inside, or outside doors levers (inside is the piece that connects to the handle as the card isn't on). I can reach inside door still and see that both handles/cables are moving the correct parts and have tried doing this by hand to do it with a little more force.....but the door still won't open. It seem as if the door is locked, although the actuator seems to be moving and the knob is going up and down when I lock and unlock the car. Is there any other way to manually open the door? Could the actuator not actually be unlocking the door? Can it be manually triggered? Any help would be appreciated...... Thanks Michael |
