Fighting the Rust Monster
I have rust forming on the bottom of a couple of my doors and on my rear hatch. Has anyone had any luck fighting this? Are there any good Chicagoland body shops you would recommend? I would like to keep the X5 till 300k if I can and I want it to keep looking nice along the way. Thanks!

I have the same - a good body shop should be able to repair it for you without repainting the whole door as long as its not bad enough to have crept to the outer door skin -
I only have the rear inner door seam, hatch is clean - I am planning on getting it repaired in August along with some PDR work and have many more rust free years -
