I am ordering a few parts today and will be using this as a reference for cleaning my 4.4 valve body! I am thanking you in advance! But I just can't imagine diving in on my own like you did... You sir have STONES! BIG, BIG STONES!
Thank you sir!! I will say that I have torn apart and even modified a number of Ford valve bodies to get better performance... In addition to adding some additional clutches and such to the trans rebuild... 1-2 WOT shifts were impressive... manual 1-2 WOT shifts chirped the tires...

While that was "a dime a dozen" Ford valve body, I had faith I could tear this one down if I took my time and had a LOT of OCD on hand...

I'd wait until I get my trans back together before using my tear down as a reference... LOL!!

I do have 12 liters of LG6 on the UPS truck headed this way... Unfortunately, BMW is going to take a little longer than Bavauto in getting my parts here by Thursday... If anything on the order will take a while, the whole order is delayed... Probably that stupid pan bolt I had to order cause the original one didn't want to play nice... There is a trans to valve body seal that I also ordered... Probably didn't need to, but...

Okay, that's all for now...

Cheers!!
