Glove box latch

So I wasn't thinking and accidentally unscrewed the two inner screw that attach to the latch that enables the glove box to close.

Apparently it's impossible for me to line up the latch so I can screw it in. It's easy yet so frustrating.

Is there anyway I can drop this part down so I can access the latch?

Sure is, you have to drop the whole glove box. I did it when installing my Avin. Instructions in the thread below:

I was gonna post that too. It comes out pretty easy with these steps.

I removed mine to get to my fuel pump relay.

Ah okay There's probably a step that I missed cause it wouldn't budge when I tried to pull it down.

That happened to me too. Read all of the steps carefully and try again.
I missed some screws.

Update- the problem was fixed. BMW and their hidden screws lol. Since the glovebox was out I finally got around to routing the mic to the upper center console. Now I have a steal mic which is great. Little by little.
