Opening passenger door without switches

I have got both driver and passenger side door cards off (as i am replacing the speakers) therefore i have the swicthes disconnected.

However with the switches disconnected, when i press the open button on the remote key fob, it just unlocks the rear doors.
I have to use the key, manually turning it in the drivers door to opem the drivers side door.
However the passenger remains locked.
I have tried to pull up the door pin, to see if that allows me to open the passengers door, but the door pin just springs back down.
There is no key hole on the passenger door, so i cant use the key either.

Is there a way to open the passenger door without putting the switches back in?

Question: are you pulling TWICE on the interior door handles...or just once? If the interior door handles are still attached as they normally are (see "hooks" in illustration below that shows how lock cylinder is manually connected to the actuator & how door pins are connnected)...it requires TWO pulls on the interior door handles to manually unlock the doors. If you've disconnected the interior door handles, too...then I'm not sure how the door could be opened (by pulling on the door handles) if door handles are manually disconnected AND the electronic actuators are disconnected, too.

The front & rear doors (along with the trunk/tailgate & fuel filler flap door) are controlled by different modules. The front door's lock/unlock is carried out by each door's individual door module. Thus when you disconnect their power source, they are no longer electronically actuated using the remote or central locking button, or the electronic actuating of the central locking system from the front driver's door lock cylinder (when turned to the 45° angle...at 90° the manual lock/unlock function of the driver's door is initiated).

The rear doors, trunk/tailgate, and fuel filler flap door is controlled through the GM III (general module)...which is why they are still working in your scenario.

{see explanation of HARDWARE FEATURES & PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION (under "driver's door lock") in info below}
