Question on anyone equipped with DSP and using GROM

So, I have 03 X5 with navi and DSP.
I would like to install GROM by removing cd changer and need to verify whether I need DSP conversion kit or not.

On the back of cd changer, there are 3 connectors but only 2 are being used.
1. 3 pin connector -> connected
2. 6 pin connector -> connected
3. SPDIF coax cable -> not being used

From my understanding, since SPDIF connector is NOT used, I have "analog DSP", therefore I don't need DSP conversion kit.

Is this correct?
