anyone know how i might go about replacing part number one on that list?
take to a fabrication shop? auto body?maybe myself?

any help would be great as i don't see why this part would be able to be bought separately as it seems to need welding and cutting the old one out...

here's one

There will probably be some used ones on ebay too. Google the part number listed on realoem.

1 and 6 look to be the same except that 6 includes the strut tower.

Yes the fender mounts to those.

Item #1 also appears to include #2...the engine support as well as the strut tower (if reading the information in the part number index below the diagram as well as looking at the diagram. Which is probably why #1 cost so much more than #6.
