Jackpoint Jackstands

I just got my Jackpoint Jackstands and found something odd. The stands work fine and are a fantastic invention, but when I put the right front on the stand I could rotate the right front wheel, but when I did the left front, I couldn't rotate the wheel because it was hitting the floor. When I suspended that side on the jack, I found that the left wheel is over 1/2 inch lower. Is this normal variation or indicative of worn spring/strut? Also any suggestions for getting more height on the stands? They don't work on the rear because I need at least another inch of height there as well.

Been talking with John, the manager at Jackpoint, he says you can use up to 2 recessed pads together, they fit securely together, and each is 3/4" so you can gain 1.5" and a 3/4" plywood underneath gives over 2", should be enough. And I've come to the conclusion that some difference in height of suspended wheels is normal variation.

StephenVA, those Esco brand jack points are a totally different design than the Jackpoint.vthe Jackooints yiu actually use with a jack to raise then stabilize the lifted corner. These Esco are normal jack stands basically.

Yep, I saw the video and stills. Interesting engineering solution to our "jack points".

Adjustable?
Then watch this video. It is an interesting concept using wood.

Interesting home made version, lots cheaper but not quite as safe, but I do love the ingenuity of the mirrors, that's the toughest part lining things up with the jackpot on your car, lots of disclaimers from the company to not put your fingers in between the car and the stand and the mirror would definitely help. Not sure if Jackpoint Jackstands will come up with a solution to increasing height, but I've given them my suggestion for an extension pad that seems like it would make their product more versatile for folks like us with SAV's.

Any thoughts on why one wheel of my X5 is slightly lower than the other when suspended equally on the 2 jackpoints or does everyone's do this?
