Screwed up my axle joint threads

While doing a boot replacement on my drivers side front outer boot, I managed to bang up the threads on the joint. Took several blows with two sledges to get the thing out of the hub.

called around and couldn't find a machine shop that has the capability to re-thread this bad boy.

Just the first few threads are messed up, the remaing 75% is still good.

Any advice to re-thread?

apparently this is a M27x1.75, correct?

would like to fix this issue, but buying a new cv joint is not out of the question.

any thoughts?
