Remote start

The all so problematic topic of remote start. Iknow it says that the engine is not supposed to stay in idle for an extended period, but here in Colorado, its gets cold.

I have spent an amount of time researching what are the good and bad of installing this. Decided that the remote start was needed and was a good thing to have if you don't neglect the vehicle with too much idling. Another thing that was pushing me to add this system is that I live 15 minutes away from work, and the engine will not reach operating temp once I'm half way.

Wen and got three quotes at tree retails quotes where 1,900/500/410. The two expensive were only the remote start the cheap one which I purchase controls the doors and remote start. (yes I did lose one key but did not mind at all) the first two prices where for viper alarm system one way remote start the third one is an clifford. For the price it does well the only down is if you use the BMW key fob the buttons will reverse themselves (if press again it will work how it should) if you are in the search for a remote start don't get fool by the sellers saying 'well it's a BMW and they are expensive' NOT A THING.
