For Inspection II? Are you sure? Just had it done on our 5 series and it was just under $1K before the 20% off coupon dealer gave us.

Yes, we hadn't had the vehicle long and wanted them to really check everything and requested an Inspection I, but my service advisor stated we need an Inspection II (it was around 60K miles) which I was like, "uh oh, here it comes", but when he gave the price I was like "go ahead"!!! Gave the wife a loaner for the day and all was good.

I will pull the service sheet and verify.

Guess I'm a bit late with this... Yes, ask your service consultant. I never actually saw the coupon as they gave us the discount a week prior to the coupons coming out. It may have been a dealer item, not a manufacturer item.

The dealer also sent out $20 dealership gift cards to my wife & I for xmas.

updates on my car...they finished diagnosting the car and they said that they needed to fix my rear brakes, but i forgot what he explained what they were exactly doing...i brought in my car for that exact same problem, the brakes were squealing, squeaking, etc, when my car had 49,990 miles and it was still under warranty(LOL, 10 miles to go)...now he said my warranty does not cover that, and i am going to have to pay for it, rear brakes, which is roughly around 250 or so...since i brought the car in for that same exact problem and it wasnt fixed then...i shouldnt have to pay for this because, it was a problem that was recorded under warranty and was not fixed then...all they did then was tell me i had a couple of unlubed bolts or whatever bullshit they told me...but in the end it was never fixed...i would like to hear what you guys think i should do as far as paying for this exact problem....

live'n'learn - we've ALL gone through what you are going through, at one time or another - most aftermarket warrantys require the dealer to call them with the list of repairs to determine what will be covered - as far as the brakes go, if the brake warning sensor is not lit, then the dealer won't replace them under warranty - IF the rotors are WARPED, then they should have been replaced under warranty when you first came in with the complaint - Time to talk to the service manager, WITH YOUR DAD - 9 outa 10 he's going to blowoff a teenager - Sorry, but that's the way most are (Life's not fair) - just ask your Dad if he could accompany you and help negotiate with the manager - BUT make sure they tell you WHY the brakes have to be replaced
