Rear Coil Spring Write UP ?

I have to install a pair of tourtech springs on Monday. They say to use a spring compressor. But my last email said "no special tools" SO I have to assume that I need to disconnect the linkages from the upper cradle to lower it and fit the spring in and then raise/compress with a jack? Then bolt everything up.
Is the ample space to maneuver the spring and reattach the upper arm nut/bolt? It's a bear with the air spring in place.
Thanks
