hi fellas....new to the forum,im a member of m3 cutters as i have an m3 also, ive bought a 2002 x5 3l diesel for the winter high milage but seems sound enough and i have a few niggles hope someone can help, when i bought it the self level inact was on the dash, the previous owner had replaced both the air suspension units at the back and the compressors are working and theres no leaks,im guessing that the ecu has stored the fault and needs resetting??? is this the case as the suspension seems to be fine, took it for a pretest and it wants a pair of tyres!! lol.....also whats the best way to enable an aux input?? any other place other than fleebay to source a lead?.....thanks

The suspension inactive will typically reset itself, it might not be immediate, but if you have driving it then there is still a problem. One of the simplist is the sensor arms on the suspension get swung the wrong way or are not attached. This can happen when the rear is jacked up, or when they are put on. There are write ups on what to look for. I have adjustable links and sometimes the ball joint on the link pops out.
Otherwise, you'll need to scan the car to see what the error is.
