Thats true. It would be fun to know why they choosed the design. The valley pan area should have been an integrated part when casted, there isnt anything serviceable underneath, just a gasket that starts to leak 🤔

I should have clarified I meant the internals of your engine look really clean. You can tell that your engine has received proper oil changes and use of quality oil by the cleanliness of the engine internals.

I ordered the tools from ebay. I have ordered a lot of parts from germany because it is much cheaper. The parts that has not been aviable from the german site, i have ordered from a site called schmiedmann. I would say that schmiedmann besides dealer is the place to buy oem bmw parts from 😄

The valve covers are ready for blasting. My dad has a pretty big blaster cabinett, but he uses re-useable small steel marbles. Would that be ok to use on the covers. Or should i use glass or something else? =)

I picked up the rest of the parts ordered, so now i have all the guides, chains, gaskets, ccv parts, waterpump+thermostat, and new steeringpump at home 👍😄 this became a pretty expensive winter maintenance project 😜
