I have the same exact year and X5 that you have just that it has the aluminum running boards. So I think the shade change on the wheels will compliment them really well. I do not want to go real dark like so many cars of today just a shift in silver color. Some of the wheel manufactures refer to the color as smoked medium Hyper Silver

Edit: Stupid Facebook requires you log in to view. LOL. Just another reason to hate that service... no more Takata "airbag" pictures.

Beautiful. I like those before I got the HRE.
If only it were a little lowered.

Beautiful Style 177 and I agree sometimes I regret that I didn't get OE Style 168's for my X - mine had to be balanced twice

Sure did.

A quick google search of hybrid bunnyz remedied the situation though as my wife and I have not had a facebook account in many years now.

Same here.

Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter, Google......these are all nothing more then online "public surveillance" by the US government.

There a reason why the execs from these online "services" have weekly oval office meeting with O'Bummer and his DHS, CIA, FBI appointees.

Hell, some of the top positions in DHS are held by ex-execs from the "public surveillance" operations.

There have been a rash of news reports in the last few weeks, exposing the fact that these operations have ALL loaded software into their systems to give the DHS and other agencies DIRECT access to ALL info on ANY user.

I don't do anything illegal, just find it offensive being watched/data collected by big brother.

Oh, and, nice wheels. Remind me of the VMR 710s, those are the best looking wheels for the E46 platform IMHO.

^I agree with you on all points - so my question is how do we limit big brother? Even emails are tracked, phone calls are tracked, etc - I'm only on FB and don't plan on any other "social media" for this reason, but it bothers me - I still use Yahoo mail and not Gmail but I'm certain the govt is watching all anyway.

Agreed. Combine the surveillance with all the ads and we want nothing to do with it. I do use Google, but that's out of necessity unfortunately.

You praise whistle blowers like Snowden and stand up to people who call him (them) treasonous. The US is the boiling frog currently and the temp is slowly going up.

Sorry for the slight thread jack OP. LOL welcome to forum lifestyle.

This thread has made a weird turn, but here is a good guide to get started.

FWIW you don't have to opt out of mainstream programs, just control your use. A controlled trail is less suspicious than no trail.
