Nice 270,000 pic!

Wow! Looks like a loose connection or power spike.

Thanks, but the wife is adding this to the same list as the Zamboni "incident"

This is actually very bad since this incident will affect the safety of the meals she serves me and threaten "mommy and daddy" time.....

Do you have any actual symptoms regarding those codes? Is your instrument cluster changed and not coded as it's showing the tamper dot?

perhaps a glitching NT510?

When did the Foxwell first show those codes? was it already plugged-in when you stopped for a picture (I don't see any warning symbols in the photo)?

My NT510 had trouble connecting to CAN (and other things gone haywire) https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...on-switch.html, but never set codes (while all the warning symbols were displayed), as I confirmed later using Torque Pro. I can't be sure if it was a
  • 1) low battery voltage problem,
  • 2) a problem caused by trying various OBD2 port extensions,
  • 3) a problem with the scantool itself, or
  • 4) combinations of two or more of the above.

I haven't used my Foxwell since the day I had those problems, though I updated the software since then and need to try it. This time using the factory OBD2 port only, and with the battery on a charger (to maintain over 12.5 volts).

Another thing: I also plugged and unplugged the Foxwell at least twice during that session, with the engine running, so maybe it didn't like that, and protested in its' own fashion!

Wiring harness problem feels like. Anything that shorts the can bus can cause these symptoms. After clearing codes went away and you can drive no errors? I had my transmission connector fill with water and it acted nuts but just transmission. Feels like water in dme connector. I know you probably get no rain but car wash? Anyhow start with remove clean replace DME connectors

Yeah everything is back to normal and 2 hours after I got home (with the pissed off Asian) it rained.

So tomorrow morning is my newly scheduled whack-a-mole day instead of the planned day drinking....

Just hoping my dinner doesn't have a strong "almond" smell to it.
