StephenVA: I agree with you 100% about giving her the beans every now and then (which I do), it's a good way a "clearing her throat". I started noticing a little smoke after idling for 5 or more this summer and that got me thinking I might need to take extra steps to prevent the dreaded "surgery".

Srmmmm: I think it's sensible what you're saying....start easy Now I need to get this on eBay....god help me :/

Thanks for the explanation. I had never known why the "Italian." Figured it was more of an attitude thing, but nice to know there is some logic behind it. BTW my first car was a '79 FIAT Spider and I tuned that thing up every day whether it needed it or not.
