O3X5 is on a distinguished road
led bulbs for gauge cluster fail

Looking for a brighter glow but couldn't find any orange ones so bought red & white. Red came first so I put them in but all it changed was the graphic display lol do the gauges themselves stay orange no matter? Going to install the white ones when they come and see how those look.

There are surface mount LEDs on the circuit board of the cluster. They are amber. Only way to change the color of the illumination on any BMW made after ~92 is to solder new LEDs onto the circuit boards. Seen it done... but it is super labor intensive and tedious.

White ones came in today, I like these a lot more. Display is actually much clearer and as you can see the green in the service interval is much greener, should be like this from the factory IMO. It was more of a yellow than green, at least for my x.
