MID bulbs

Does the MID have twist bulbs like the gauge cluster does? Got some leftover white leds & an idea.

AFAIK the MID used in the e53 had only LEDs.
Some older ones (I assume until somthing like 1999) in the e39 had "real" bulbs but they weren't interchangeable without soldering.

The MID is LEDs soldered on the board. Problems with it are usually from the ribbon cable coming loose. You can send it off for repair or do it yourself.

Here's one of many sources.

I'm eventually replacing it with an Eonon unit but just wanted to change the lighting in the meantime as I did with the gauge cluster display, which looks awesome now. I have no desire to have the mid repaired.
