Unless you have experience with this product?

Or did you just do a search on Amazon?

They will fit in a H1 application. I am assuming you're looking for fog light bulbs since that is the only H1 bulb on the car that I know of/can find. Typically the problem people have with LEDs is that they are too wide to fit through the opening even though they have the correct base. These are slim so that they do not interfere width wise. Since you are being incredibly vague about what exactly isn't fitting, I had to assume that's your problem.

If you're actually going for the yellow fog light look, look for yellow bulbs as they have a greater selection. I have never heard of anyone going for amber (which is also why availability is slim). Also a high powered yellow halogen bulb is going to yield much better visibility than a cheap led one.

I am also assuming that you know what bulb it is you are trying to replace. Given the caliber of your past posts, that is a risky assumption to make.

Your attitude is bad, your thread is bad, your posts are bad, your English is bad, and you should feel bad. Maybe your cheap LEDs will burn down your car.

Yeah, but at least I can fit a light bulb on my car

So you're assumption is that I don't need an H1 size bulb?
Wrong. Flash to pass is h1.
And STILL no one here has answered my question.
You guys have the iq of a Hillary voter.

Go back to Bimmerforums. This forum is entirely too helpful and friendly to have to tolerate this kind of childish behavior. I'm glad we rarely have to tolerate ignorance and immaturity like this.

Cw, don't be too hard on him, he's obviously just frustrated trying to solve a problem with his BMW. We've all been there at one point.

OP, I apologize for everyone here. Let's get to work finding a solution.

I found this for you. It's yellow, LED, and gives out a lot of light for flashing.

You can stick it out the window and pull the trigger when you need to flash to pass.

You're welcome!

Lolwut? I sent you a H1 bulb. I didn't know what spot you needed a H1 bulb for so I assumed fogs since all e53 use H1 fogs and you wanted an amber color.

Who the hell puts a dim amber led bulb in the flash to pass?

Your reading comprhension is poor. But luckily if I needed a high place to jump from after reading this thread, I can jump from your number of chromosomes to your IQ.

Well dang, that went south pretty quickly...

As far as I know, the fogs are H11 - the FTP lamps (on Bi-Xenon models) and the high beams (on standard xenon models) are in fact H1.

While I don't have any experience with replacing halogen lamps with LED replacements, I have studied it extensively. Which is no substitute for actual experience but here's my $0.02 worth.

It seems more trouble than it's worth, especially if you are after better lighting. If your goal is something else (longer life, different colour etc.) then maybe it's worth looking into. But in general terms, the LED replacements need better cooling and you'll need to bypass/disable the cold and maybe even hot monitoring built into the Beemer.

And then there's the physical fit question; as has been mentioned, while the H1 base is a standard, there my be other aspects of the LED lamp the create clearance issues. I guess you've already found that out. Dremel time?

LED replacement lamps aren't legal down here - even in tails etc. (except if you replace the entire fitting - but lamp replacement is out). Xenon upgrade lamps aren't legal either, in halogen headlight units. Again, you have to replace the whole assembly. There's a good reason for this; reflectors designed for halogen etc, rarely work well with LED or Xenon.

But I guess anything can be made to work where laws don't prohibit such mods.
