Automatic Heater @ Startup

I am a newbie to this forum and so I'm not sure if this posting has been previously addressed.

Question: How do you disable the automatic heater @ start-up. I've looked in the owner's manual but to no avail. Any suggestions/feedback would be most valuable.

Thank you in advance ~

Yes my heater/vent is always on at start-up. Anyone know how to keep it off?

im not sure about the E53 but on my E46 330ci it does the same thing. Everytime I start up the engine, the climate control turns on. I believe on post-2002 models, you can go to the dealer and have them programmed to "turn off". Unfortunately, i have a 2001 330ci so the dealer couldn't do anything for me. As for the E53, you might wanna call up your dealer and ask them if they can program your climate control to 'turn off' whenever you start up the engine. Find out which model year the dealers started to program to turn your climate control 'off'. hope this helps...

If you have the SAT NAV option, press MENU and goto AUX VENT and play around with times/switch ON/OFF.

Cheers,

On my '03, if you after several times of leaving the heater off when turning the ignitation off, it will start up without the heater on.
