Onto bigger and better things...

Well guys,

I have to say, I am mighty happy that I finally got rid of my X5.
I was very happy when I bought it for myself on my 30th birthday in 2014 but I think I'm even happier now that I sold it. It was a pleasure to drive but it was also a giant pain in the ass and the most unreliable vehicle I've ever owned and I've owned 11 now. Nearly every time I drove it, something went wrong.
I have to say, it was a giant piece of crap and to anyone out there thinking of buying a e53. Do not do it.
Well, now that I've got that off my chest, I would like to express my thanks to you guys for your help and advice during my ownership and many issues. If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't have got the ignition switch/airbag/srs/seat belt light issue dealt with. Even my indy couldn't figure it out and they are very good, so that says alot.
Anyways, i'm rambling, good luck to you all!
Peace

German brands in general are high maintenance that prefer finer things in life. Anyways congrats on getting out of your love hate relationship.

Good luck with things. With these off warranty BMW's the passion for them has to be high enough to endure the hand holding these cars require at times.

For me it's cheaper to keep her. What it cost to repair it I can only lease an accord and it's not the same thing honestly.

I second that, no other car brand will come close to the driving style of BMW's, not even other German manufacturers. I really dislike AMGs and Audi S models. Uncomparable to the ultimate driving machine. Just wondering, how much did you sell it for if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not so sure about that. I'd say my s5 is a hell of a lot more fun to drive than my x5

Have you ever put your s5 against an M5?

I've driven both. Both are fun. The RS6 is more comparable to the M5. The S5 is in-between the 335i and m3.
