I think fuse # 86 in the cargo for me is Aux. Heater?

Fuse #86 powers the aux. heater remote receiver (not the heater itself), along with the active antenna module - so you are correct. But removing it (to disable the aux. heater) also kills the keyless entry. DAMHIK...

Good to know! That's why I love Xoutpost

So my to-do list for this afternoon:
- Check fuse #86
- Check DWA LED Status
- Check FZV Antenna wiring
- Check FZV Antenna module

UPDATE:

Checked and swapped fuse #86. Tried key fob buttons and tried to sync, still nothing. (wpoll you were correct, 86 is central locking system)

Next I checked the FZV Antenna condition:

All I did was change the wiring and to see if anything stuck out but everything looks to be in very good condition. Nothing out of the ordinary to me. I don't have a spare FZV module to swap so I'll have to wait on that.

Next checked the DWA Led Status. Locked vehicle, checked to see if I could open the fuel filler cap lock, it was locked and does NOT open. So that rules out an open circuit. Also upon locking the vehicle manually I looked at the LED light. Just the normal red blink every second or so. Nothing rapid, continual slow blink. Nothing out of the ordinary.

So I guess I only have one last thing to try. Swapping the FZV Antenna module and then onto the GM Module

GM3 Module had issues from 2002-2003 according to this: https://www.bmwgm5.com/GM3_Info.htm

Part Number: 61356920822

Apparently, I shouldn't try to source the updated GM3 Module (2004-2006) as it temporarily fixes the problem but then the trunk won't open: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...need-help.html

Too long story for small problem I had similar problem with one key for few years...since I decided go to one clever man to solve this problem! I was trying to do this pairing thing from service manual... it worked all the time with one key but never with second key! That man did the same process...and 'broken' key started to work... so far I still don't know what he had done with my key

unlock the vehicle (making sure everything is unlocked)
key in - position 2 - 5 seconds or less
key out - holding down unlock button, press lock button 3 times, release unlock button

Am I doing something wrong?

Try to position 1 and then pos2 not more than 1sec!
You can try as well opposite version... to disconnect key remote from the car and then connect again! I was doing this just to check it it works or not! It works!
With locked car..hold lock button key in pos 1 or 2 for 1sec take out and keep holding lock button and then 3 times unlock button! Remember this is opposite!
