X5 Mats that don't move

Well as one of the interior finishing touches of my X5 4.6is I decided to grace the floor with a new set of X5 carpeted mats. I ordered a set of the BMW "Individual" black floor mats and I was pleasantly surprised how much better constructed these mats are vs the replacements that the BMW dealer sells. On the back of the mats they have no foam that can deteriorate instead they have a series of horizontal velcro like strips weaved into the matting of the mats so they cannot move once in place and best of all not deteriorate like the foam backed ones. I have loaded a few shots of the backing for members to see.

What does the front of them look like? Cost? I am in need of new mats. Was leaning towards Dinan but have read they aren't that good on the quality side vs. OE.

Crystalworks the fronts are exactly the same except they have weaved in the two circular velcro discs that mate with the circular locking pads that attach to the floor of the X5. So you get the horizontal weaved velcro strips plus the built in circular ones so they are not moving nor are they deteriorating. My old mats were in good shape but those glued on velcro pads came loose and the foam backing began to deteriorate and moved every time I used the X5. Drived me crazy. This OE solution while more expensive than the replacement mats is far superior in construction and function.

Yes that its true that it was a european offering on the "Individual" Line. Euroactive can get them for you.

You should also be able to order these from your local BMW dealership's parts department, too...since there's an 11 digit BMW part nbr.

And if your BMW dealership's parts counter personnel are good with BMW ASAP (after sales assistance program)...they might be able to figure out how to order other colors...and since they are BMW INDIVIDUAL mats...you probably can get contrasting border colors (in leather or fabric)

There's the ones with a leather border & one with fabric border...click links to get the BMW part nbrs for each type:

Its true that you should be able to order it through your BMW dealer but since its an Individual offering some BMW dealerships require you to provide them with your BMW vin which should reflect an Indiviual optioned BMW before ordering. I quest in a worst case scenario just have the last 7 vin digits for a BMW VIN Individual vehicle so that you can order the mats. With Euroactive you do not have to go through all that.
