E53 Auxiliary Water Pump issues..
Basically I am getting 'Auxiliary Water Pump short circuit to ground' error on my INPA testing. I am also having some battery drain issues and I would like to make sure if this problem is not causing that either. I am trying to reach to pull its connection but its in such a tight place. Is there a DIY to replace this if necessary? If not how could I reach it to test the connection? Through the headlight? Thanks for all the help in advance.. Ozzie X5 2001 4.4 'Bluey'

I would just buy a new one.
I didn't have any drain problems, but it buzzed like a swarm of bees. Replaced with new, works perfect. It is a very important item for proper heating and coolant flow.

Thanks for your response.
Is there a DIY somewhere for this? Thanks again, Ozzie
