BMW says dry, 50% of the posters here say "lube 'em".

I say replace the pins and caliper bushing "dry" (I personally use a splash of Armor All when installing them- makes them push through the calipers easier) at 100K as they have provided good service and flat file the caliper brackets where the wear mark are so the new pads don't sit in the grooves from the old pads and stick, hang up, etc. Oh, use silicone caliper grease on all contact points and the pad "ears" where they sit into the caliper brackets. DO NOTt add anything toe the pads where the piston hits them (Inside) or caliper "ears" where they support the outer pads.

Little bit of high heat calliper slide grease never hurts. ATE makes a great product and never had an issue using it.

Thank you very much for the help Stephen!!

I don't know how to multiple quote, but according to the TIS manual BMW states not to grease the pins or the pads so I just cleaned the pins and installed.

I don't believe or agreed with everything BMW states, like their lifetime ATF, but when they issue a TIS about not putting grease on the slide pins, there must be a good reason for it. 50% of the people on this forum put grease on the slide pins, which tells me that these 50% haven't read the BMW TIS and just continue to do what they been doing all their lives.
