Whistle Looking for CLEAR EURO E53 headlights or some kind of clear inserts?

Hey Guys,

I am getting tired of the yellow amber corners.. The euro look is 10x better.. Considering my X5 is black, the clear corners would make the car look much much better...

Does anyone know where or how I can get clear corner headlights on my X5 ?? I looked and they are crazy expensive!!! around $2,000 for 1 - and around $3,500 for both - for just the housing and stuff - the bulbs I actually have to taker out from the old... Since this is not a new car, 2006 model, isint there a cheaper option to get this done??? I see plenty of totaled X5s, especially the E53s (4.4/4.6 and 4.8is) - does anyone know a website that sells these parts?? they can be used - aslong as everything is working and not damaged...

Please if anyone can help?? My friend bought some aftermarket housing (clear) - but after it rains the headlights fog up - they are not 100% sealed - so I dont want the ones he has... So please can anyone help??

Does anyone know where I can buy used/or new CLEAR EURO headlights for the 2006 bmw x5 4.8is?? It has the bi-xenon lights with the auto leveling feature.. or is there a website where you can send them the old headlights with the amber and they send you clear ones?? or is there a website that sells these parts from junk yards or something??? ..

I am dying to get the clear ones on my 2006 bmw x5 4.8is - i just dont want to pay almost $4000 doing so just to get rid of the orange corner reflectors.. Is there a shop or some place somewhere in NYC that can insert clear reflectors into the headlights and take out the UGLY ass amber reflectors in them? ... trying to get this done for the least amount of $$$ and time.. if anyone has any recommendations or hints - they would be greatly appreciated.. or if anyone knows anyone selling a set for 2006 bmw x5 4.8is for a good price - please let me know.... I am willing to spend up to a Grand for both... but not really more then that... 1200 max.. for both (driver & passenger side)

Any help/info/hints would be appreciated...

I had a guy in NJ offer to takeout the ambers and put in clear ones like 2 years ago, but lost his contact info

The clear corners were not available in the US so you'll need to source them from another region. US wreckers won't have them and most shops won't have them in stock. I recommend looking at eBay.de or eBay.co.uk and searching for your exact part numbers. You can use Real OEM to configure a euro-clone of your car/options/etc and then look at the lighting diagrams for what you need. Bear in mind it's different lights for left hand and right hand drive. In the case of my 4.8is, the OEM clear-corner lamps, left-hand drive auto-adjusting xenons are

Right - Part #63117166816
Left - Part #63117166815

European Ebay sites have 'em for around $300-500 USD depending on condition, etc.

Your other option is to open your lights and adjust them as Crystalworks did. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ry-thread.html

Remember, if you buy European lights the cut off of the Xenon will be on the wrong side and blind US drivers. Not sure if there was a switch/lever to change the cutoff pattern (there was on Hella E30 headlights) though.

Opening your headlights is a long and painful process. Looks amazing when you are done though.

Shouldn't that only be true for RHD regions like the U.K.? The part numbers I listed are for LHD vehicles - same road and driving pattern as the US.

Yes, sorry I tend to generalize European countries as all having RHD vehicles. Should have clarified.

If you convert to Euro units for the clear corners (which my car has BTW), you will want to buy the correct pair for your car (Halogen bulbs or Xenon).

Realoem can be a good guide, naturally select the Euro version of your car with the same build month and year as yours. Selecting EUR and LHD will avoid most issues, then pick Halogen or Xenon.

Ebay.de can get you good and bad parts, as Ebay.com, so know what you buy in advance.

I was able to find some on German Ebay.. but i had serious communication/language barriers in getting confirmation on the exact fit and so on... So hold on,, even if I buy the clear EURO headlights from German ebay I still cant just plug and play install? Have to do some modification so other drivers dont get blinded?? sounds like a pain in the butt to be honest.. I was thinking today of maybe tinting the headlights.. but I dont know if in NYC its legal to tint your headlights.. everything is illegal here..

So to be honest, where can I buy one for good price that I know will fit? I found cheap ones on german ebay but if fitment wont be good for USA versions i dont know what to do... I found USA seller for clear headlights - but they are NOT Cheap.. $2500 -> https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...3117166815816/ -- but it says "EURO'' and that keeps throwing me off .. i dont want to have problems with wiring or something after I spend so much $$ on them,...

There is another one that says CLEAR but not euro and its freken even more $$ see here -> https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/63117166818/ and its freken $1500 for 1 headlights - $3000 for a pair.. wtf and its just the housing no contract ballast even... For these installed with bulbs I could buy another whole demm X5... its silly honestly... esp with so many totaled x5's you see on the net... i wish there was a big website to catalog the europen wrecks and part-outs for sale..

I found these today see here ->> HELLA BMW X5 E53 LCI 2003-2007 Bi-Xenon Headlights Front Lamps LEFT+RIGHT PAIR

best price/set/find to date.. Approx $1200 for both .. (and not $3 demm grand like ESC).. can someone just double check these will be ok to install on a USA spec 2006 x5 4.8is?? see below:

HELLA BMW X5 E53 LCI 2003-2007 Bi-Xenon Headlights Front Lamps LEFT+RIGHT PAIR

Should be good right?? $1200 I can still do for both and install myself to save $$... but $ 3 grand is just silly .. its not a brand new car either..

Lets be honest here. Authentic Euro Clears are available for your model but if price is going to be a barrier for you just leave what you have alone and move on.

Man nam I am even more confused.. some have certain parts some dont..

I found a nice set with all the parts but guess what?? they are HALOGEN and not Bi-xeon or something that the x5 4.8is has ... you can go crazy looking for a correct set.

I found these

1.) Drivers: BMW X5 E53 LCI 2003-2007 halogen LEFT side drivers headlight HELLA | eBay

2.) Passangers: BMW X5 E53 LCI 2003-2007 halogen right side passenger headlight HELLA | eBay

and its $1200 for both with the parts needed and OEM (with bulbs, with actuator motor for LWR, with indicator, with low beam, with high beam, with position light...

but they are HALOGEN and not Bi-xenon.... So heh... its hard to win... and find a CORRECT PAIR for x5 4.8is that dont cost a arm and a leg

If i took your route the car would have been sitting on side of the road 4 years ago.. if you cant help fuck off buddy.. the form is here to help people and not bash people becuse they dont want to spend $3 thousand on plastic worth $200 bucks

Additionally if you notice I am asking if the EURO word in the title of item - will have install issues on a USA model... bc I am hesitant to spend to much $$ and later have problems... and yes i dont want to spend $3 god damm grand.. so I am looking for a better price... if your soo fking rich here mr fantastic how about you buy me a set so i can shut up?? if not gtfo if your not helping
