slight vibration in rear when accelerating from a standstill

2003 X5 3.0L Sport Pkg 123K. Purchased new/ all service is current. Getting a very slight (but noticeable) rear vibration when starting from a standstill. The event lasts probably 1 second and then disappears quickly as speed increases. No noise. Tires are Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 (an awesome tire) with 13K. They are balanced and properly inflated (32 psi). New Trans Filter/Seals/Fluid performed 2/13 at 88K. Looking for advice! Comments are appreciated.

Check CV axles for damage, as well as transfer case chain, flex disc, and driveshaft -

I had almost exactly the opposite problem. (Slight wobble during deceleration). In several family cars of late the wobble came from control arms (3-4 family cars in past year).

The best way to test for loose suspension is to mount a video camera on a tripod (I have a suction cup type meant to use iPhone as gps) pointing at each wheel and simply start and stop both forward and reverse. Only takes 5mph even less to do the test.
