Thinking about selling my 4.8is

as I get ready for the purchase of a new home I may have to be getting rid of my 2004 black sapphire 4.8is which I bought a month ago. The car runs immaculately and the paint is 9/10, interior is 9/10 (no cracks or wear. I replaced the factory navigation with DSP with a modern radio (dynavin N6) I still have the factory radio that fully works with 6 disc CD changer. I just bought brand new OEM floor mats because I like everything to always look fresh and new. Has 3m clear bra on hood, fenders, front bumper, side pillar and just below gas tank door. Truck has brand new continental extreme DWS 06, just replaced valve stem seals just last month, new upper rear control arms. Car just hit 106k. Hard to believe but I have never pushed the car above 70mph.

Really thinking hard. If I do sell do you think 11k is too much.Name: IMG_0326.JPG

I don't think 11k is too much for a 4.8is that has had VSS work done. As long as you have proof of it. I paid 15k for mine and it still needs VSS, but it had other goodies on it that made me plunk down more than I would have otherwise.

$11k I don't think you'll have a hard time selling. But why put in all that work to just sell it?

You're absolutely right and my wife says the same thing. I'm currently in the process of purchasing a home and will have to do some renovations and I don't want my truck to become the Home Depot delivery car.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Considering new DWS and Dynavin and VSS - that is not a bad asking price at all for a well cared for 4.8is.

That's why little utility trailers were invented. Keep der Bimmer clean and nice whilst hauling all the shite you need from HD and Lowes.

Keep the truck. You'll kick yourself if you sell it.

Not sure about NY but in VA you can rent trucks from Home Depot. Do that vs selling!

A big influence on value will be underside condition. All wheel drive SUVs are the "go-to" vehicle when roads are treated for ice-snow. Almost 15 yrs of this can reduce value.
