Driver door actuator and autolocking

My 00 X5 had the autolocking feature. When my driver door actuator started acting up (sometimes wont lock and had to be locked manually by key) the autolock stopped working too. No biggie I thought, just had to replace the actuator. Well today I replaced the door actuator and while the door locks and unlocks both with the key and using the central lock switch, still no autolock.

Have had the same key since. No programming or reprogramming done afaik. Is there an initialization I should have done?

Edit: autolocking I meant was the 10mph locking
