Connecting to Factory Speaker Wires from DSP Amp

Hello:

I am replacing the factory DSP AMP with an aftermarket 4 Channel AMpand Crossovers in my 2005 E53 4.4i

I have a couple questions for anyone with some knowledge on the subject...

1. There are 3 plugs on the DSP Amp (1 Large and 2 Small). Are the wires to the speakers on the two Smaller Plugs?

2. Is one plug Front Speakers, the other Rear Speaker? (I am assuming the big plug is power and input?)

Summed in one question: Where do the speaker wires Leave the DSP Amp?

I have been searching the forum for weeks before I finally gave up, joined and asked the questions.

Thank you all in advance and especially blkxer, who's article has been a huge help so far

Good day,

Well, that is a lot of writing to get all the color codes to you... I think you might need to find the wire sets (think each speaker has a twisted pair coming from the amp)... Some end up on X18773 connector and some on X18771... So, you may need to source each wire set for the speakers on any connector... If you can get it to work, with the help I had from the experts in the thread, this is a valuable tool!!!

Cheers!!!

The big connector is the one with the speaker wires. My DSP amp was fried with the recent rain in SoCal which is how I found out how my sunroof drains need cleaning/replacing lol there are pairs of the same color cables which go to one speaker a negative and positive. I'm not sure which color goes to which speaker as I haven't looked into it yet.
