SOLVED!....Aww, SLS problems, of course...

Hoping to get some insight on this matter...
I've changed the front air struts and bags and tried to even out all corners in DIS, by measuring each wheel height , but nothing happened, in fact, all 4 corners are whacked, each has its own height...horrible.
So I'm like ok, After so many tries in DIS, I'll just go ahead and push the button on the left of the steering wheel to raise the car.
Worked but only lifted the car an inch or so , corners still whacked like before just higher up.

I'm like ok this is messed up, let's take it for a ride.
On the freeway, what do you know, SLS inactive message appeared, and the car evened out perfectly on all 4 corners.

The errors I'm getting in DIS are the following:

64 EHC- Distortion plausibility

5DD7-DSC-EHC ride height control-ride heights invalid.

What are these? I'm afraid if I erase the error the car gets whacked again, but with the self leveling suspension inactive message , it's perfectly level....

After reading some more, looks like I'll have to rebuild the compressor with the kit the guy from UK sells.
If memory serves me well, a few months back the accumulator pressure was 9.8 bar, which might be low for the system to work properly;
on top of that, its been a few months with a leaky bag, until now, so the seal should be pretty worn out...

ill just replace that and report back.

solved the problem...I erased the code, pressurized and de-pressurized the system, set zero point, calibrated each wheel to the specific height and was done...no problems since....car drives good, perfectly level, and it looks killer too lowered about an inch all around from the factory setting.
I still ordered the compressor repair kit to replace it while its still pumping...but for now everything is back to normal.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Stephen I just came in to chime in brother - your pump should be ok but yes I would repair proactively - it throws "accumulator filling pressure remains constant error" when its ready to rebuild but again you are proactive like me so just do it for $50 -

Yes you needed to erase codes, use the zero point function, and calibration routine if necessary - personally for raising/lowering the vehicle via DIS I always use zero point function as its so much easier to do it that way than trying to "trick" the calibration routine - as I would call it the "old way" -

How are you liking the slightly lowered height now? I've been meaning to lower mine about an inch as well, but I want to have the rear suspension refreshed before I do so, my -3 degrees camber on the right rear will turn into -4 if I lower it lol

^No noticeable difference in ride quality with lower ride height.

Yes it's no different , still plenty of comfort lowered 20-25 mm.

Hey,

please can you tell me the proper procedure to perform the ride level calibration. Also when is the zero point setting to be used. I am stuck with a BMW xx 4.4i 2003. The front left deviation shows "-2200mm" and I do not understand why.

Check your ride height sensors on the corners to see if any of the arms are positioned upside down.
