PDC nuisance

Hi all

I am having a problem with PDC and looking for suggestions, if you have ideas please share.

When PDC comes on, it has a continuous beep from the rear.
PDC light is on solid (not flashing)
Feel test shows all 8 sensors are working (I hear all 8 ticking)
When an object is in the front of the car beep switches between rear and front
Carsoft diagnostics says no fault in PDC system

It seems that one of the rear sensors is overly sensitive.

What can I do?

Any opinions on the $20 sensors available on the net?

Ignition on, switch pdc on,go out and cover rear sensors with your hand one by one! That is the test

Yes thank you for the response. Putting my hand over it will tell me which one is not working, I need to know which one is working too much.

They are all working but at least 1 rear seems to be exceptionally sensitive that it is picking something up when there is nothing. Just can't tell which one it is.

U can try at barrier as long as is distance between 2 rear sensors! Those 2 in corners in bumper u can try next to wall! Hope understand what I mean

In DIS you can see exactly the distance each sensor is reading, really cool! and you can easily see the difference in the after market sensors.

Are aftermarket sensors crap? $200 BMW vs $20 aftermarket. Is it a waste of $20?

Yep, the $60 ones are useable but not accurate at shorter distances.

So now carsoft tells me this:

Release Version: S23002-PDC
Part Number: 6932985
Hardware Number:01
Coding Index:00
Diagnosis Index:01
Bus Index:01

If have problem, please print or record the above information!

What is the above saying? Sensor #1 is bad?
I swapped sensors around and the message content is the same. I was hoping the hardware number should change and follow the bad sensor. But it did not change.

So what is it telling me?
