Questions on towing the X with a trailer

It's been broken down for a month now at work so I'm in the process of towing it back home but have questions.

Uhaul's trailer limit is just under 5,300lbs and the x is around 4,500 but an agent told me it's not recommended because the towing truck doesn't weight enough and the x is too heavy for the trailer. Opinions?

It'd be getting towed by a 2017 f150 ecoboost 4x4, trips about 13 miles.

Thanks

Before it gets asked I have no desire to pay $200 for an actual tow for not even a 15 mile trip so please, don't give me your opinion over it.

Bullocks, you're not towing it with a kia. Pretty sure they are just trying to upsell you into getting a uhaul truck to tow it.

Lol that's what I'm saying I was like huh? I broke down the numbers and everything is inline with their requirements.

The truck's less than the trailer limit but almost 1000 lbs & I know a f150 ecoboost would have no problem.

If I did it. So can you.

I towed my 3.0 when the front diff died, with my 4.4 n62 X5 about 4 hours away from home. I will suggest getting a hitch that you could adjust the height of the trailer.

That's a U-Haul trailer

You're towing it 13 miles? Just do it already. That F150 won't even sneeze at 6000lbs total weight. You could do that across the country if you wanted. If Uhaul asks, tell them you're moving a 2 door civic.

Thought so, great tail lights btw. It's the factory hitch that comes on the f150 so that I can't control if it can or can't adjust.

Lol I will after vacation. I've had a car to drive while it's broken down so it was never a rush but it's time now. Thanks and yea my friend said the same thing to tell them.

Does either you Auto Insurance cover ~breakdown towing~ or any of your misc. that might have coverage. That's what I meant.

My auto insc covers such and so are the benefits on both our Amex lines. Just options you can explore as well....
