Rear airbags to Springs
Okay I'm so tired of my air suspension. I've went through 3 in the last 3 years. Out of curiousity, would I be able to remove the rear air suspension and replace it with springs? |

Is your mechanic daft or are there other issues causing the failure? Just asking.

I'm throwing on another bag tomorrow and putting in the stock end links and ride with stock height. I'll see from there. |

Yeah. Lowering has to have something to do with it as well. We've done the rear bags only once on my mother in law's '01. We've had it for 17 years and ~120k miles.

Yes. I have never had any problems with my first set of bags when i first purchased the X5 until I lowered it.

I'm well aware that some people prefer to keep air ride, not me.
While some may not had issues, it seems that a lot of people did. Just about anytime I visit the forum here, there is a thread about air ride issues. I prefer stock height and I was also able to keep cluster clear of warning air level ride. Almost a year on this setup and it's everything I hoped to be: https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...gs-delete.html

I too spent over $2000+ recently on suspension work. Like everything is full done interms of suspension. I also changed out my axles. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |
