Ride Height?
OK, so I was looking at my friends new X5 and he has this swtch to lower/higher car ride. I asked him and he said it was OEM. Can I get this installed now(bby OEM), or do they make X5's with that? DO they have to jsut add the switch, or do they add new hardware(shocks or something...)?

If it's a retrofit, lots of $$$$ and that's if they'll do it.

I think it would definitely be more than $500. I've got it on mine and on the sticker, it was a $1,200 option............

It would probably be more expensive. You would need to install the air pump in the back and front mount suspension components so you could do the ride height.
Not worth it in my opinion. I have it in my '03 and it doesn't keep the vehicle lowered once you reach a certain speed ~ 25 mph. It also does not operate when the doors are open. There has been some threads about an override but we haven't seen any results so far. |
