WTB: BMW trailer wiring kit,

If you have or know someone with one laying around or a shop/link of where to find it, let me know. My junkyard search has come up with nada.

Thanks!

According to RealOEM, these are the connectors for trailer towing. Not sure which one you are looking for.
RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog
The one on my 4.8iS is the (#3) 7 BLD RND FEM, part#61130412966
Put that part # --> www.furriousmethod.com to find vendor and price.
You also need the towing module, which ECS Tuning is selling.
Good luck!

Whoa! I kept finding the "no longer available" for the kits that contained the HW, too. I have the module, installed. I have an actual hitch installed. All I need is the wiring from the wire that goes from the towing module to the trailer itself and that looks like it. I am in the US, so I guess (every trailer that I have seen) is the 4 pin.

The factory trailer connector is a Round connector. You need to buy an adapter that goes from the round to a 4 pins.

The OE harness comes with the 7 pin to 4 pin adapter.

I got the last one BavAuto had in stock around 6 yrs ago, was told they were not carrying the item any longer. Had to call and speak with them to get it, item was not listed on the website.

This is what you are looking for:

The module is easily found on eBay for probably under $100.

Good Luck! I saw two wiring kits on Ebay in the last two years and I got one of them

Mike

I bought the 7-pin to 4-pin connector from U-Haul. Work good.

I got mine from the BMW dealer. It's a coil cable with the 7 pin adapter on one end and a flat 4 pins adapter on the other end.
