I think, I have a problem with my X5. It maybe normal. I have 05 X5 with 14300 miles. The problem, I think, is I hear noise when I speed up or turn corner. However, it's not happening every time. It's not loud noise but I can hear it. First, I thought that it might be X-Drive thing but there weren't any raining or snowing. Does anybody hear or did anybody hear this kind of noise? I know it's from transmission. I am sure a lot of people have problem with transmission, or software, with X-5, you know you feel like someone ran into your car when no one is behind you. It's bothering me because my friend has X5 who bought X5 Oct. 05 with over 8000 miles has none of problems that I have. I bought my car June 05. What's up with red light on radio. My service adviser told me that she doesn't know what the problem with radio is. Why in the world, alarm goes off when unlock door with key. Sometime, driver side door won't lock with my key, it will lock again when I try unlock and lock couple of times. When I explain this kind of problems to service adviser, she told me that they can't find anything from on board computer. So, are they saying that I am a lier? I don't think they really try to help me to fix these problems, I think this will be the last BMW for me. This is what I got for $65000+. Thanks for reading my message. IF your dealer infers that you are a liar, document the exact time, mileage, speed, and circumstance of the event (s) and go to another dealer...all cars have gremlins and not all can show up on a computer...also make absolutely sure all the software updates and service bulletins have been done. Until a mechanic can find the problem, and thus get warranty to pay for, they can't fix it. Acura, Volvo, VW, Porsche, Range Rover--none are perfect.

Yes, there is no such thing as a perfect car. I think, I am very unhappy with service department. They always told me, they don't see any problem according to on board computer. To me, that means they will never do anything until they see something from computer. I am just asking them to check with their eyes and knowledge if there is any possibility to cause those problems not just tell me what computer shows them. If that is too much to ask, I might have to stop asking. |
