HansBeamers is on a distinguished road
Can someone tell me what this is?

Hi there X'rs! I am the new guy on here, but have owned Beamers since 2005. Their great cars, arguably my favorite DD's by far!

I have a 05 BMW 86k miles x5 4.4 sport/Nav/DSP/A6/Panorama Roof, Black on Black, I picked up recently. I found a hard plastic line that looks to be broken off, coming from the lower left side of the engine, then coming up to the upper left front of the engine and making an upside down U there, abruptly ending. It's about 5/16" OD and is accompanied by a OBD II code PO 442 Evap system leak detected.
It has writing on the line, the legible portion in the pics show: 4466 DIN

Is this normal how the hard plastic line terminates (I doubt it, lol) and then a rubber line is to hook onto that piece, or is it broken, and what part #'s do I need to get it back to original?

Thanks in advance!
