3.0d doesn't works properly at high rpm

It's a couple of week that my x 3.0d when arrive at around 3.000rpm, doesn't go ahead. It's like an electronic cut of the engine, I don't know what it could be. Some friend tell me that could be the "debimeter" but at low revs the motor is ok, only at around 3.000 it stops and go beeing not possible going on more rpm (sorry for my english)! I want to know if someoneelse has had this problem, bye.

Something sounds wrong, possibly with the ECU. Assuming you have an automatic transmission, is this happening in the Sportronic shifting mode or automatic? I know for certain the 3.0 can easily get in excess of 6000+ RPM, I had mine redlined just the other day. Maybe someone on this board will have more technical advice if not go see the dealer.

We have had this problem here with some customers 3.0D!Most of the time its a MAF problem(debimeter),on other occasions its a problem with the fuel pressure sensor on your Common Rail!
Both faults show up on a Diagnostic machine,so my suggestion is to take it to the dealer or someone with Dis to confirm which fault it is.

I don't think it's a turbo problem, because under that rpm the car is fantastic.
My kilometers are around 42.000, not so much.
bye

Debimeter is me trying to put it in Cimbro's own words! The correct name is MAF,which is your air flow sensor on your air supply. It informs the ECU (computer) on the volume of air going into the engine.
