Airbag light

Ok, so I just picked up a 2006 x5 3.0 with 74k on it. Wonderful condition. California car.

Driving yesterday, the check engine light came on while I was playing with the computer button. Checked with scan tool and said it was an o2 sensor. Cleared code, now nothing and no pending codes.

Next, I had a tail light out. Replaced bulb but then later computer said it was still out. I assume I needed to do a computer cluster reset, which I did.

Today, airbag light came on while in idle. Did another reset and seemed to clear.

Is there something else I should be looking at?

Sounds like some electrical gremlins on this low mileage X. Once you sort through it you will enjoy it much more. You will probably have to drive it much more to see what codes come back and then begin the analysis.

Thanks. The Indy I bought it from has the BMW diagnostic system. He'll take care of anything related to it but still odd. The code I am thinking might be from Crap gas that was sitting in tank while on his lot. Will put some fuel system cleaner in it as well as run this tank out and replace it premium "good" gas and see what that does.
