Rattle/rasp from underside when decelerating
It sounds like a metallic rattle sound coming from under the car. Not present when accelerating. Only there as soon as the weight shifts and its decelerating. Esp loud going downhill and also present when the gears are not engaged (i.e. Coming to a stop and the engine is idling). It's deffo not the brakes I've had them checked and the steering is spot on. Had a look. All heat shields intact. I'm starting to think it's something to do with tranny/ torque converter.
It's a metallic whine on deceleration when engine brake is being used. When the trans moves into "idle" whilst drive is engaged the noise drops considerably. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
