Just buy new ones as machining just removes metal that would normally dissipate heat. Get the Centric high carbon or the Brembo ones.

Of course you measure them and after receiving a confirmation that they were indeed within tollerance, you clean them and used the correct wire wheel followed by a sanding disc to create a non direction pattern to facilitate good pad break in, or did you just hang a new set of pads and hope all works?

Unless the pads were installed backwards, you are good to go! I would recommend a good buff with a prep sandpaper disc. That would remove all the old pad materials that were transferred during braking.
