What About 19" Wheels for the 4.6is?

All the door tag shows is the 5j X 19 as a spare option I guess. Does that mean that no other 19" wheel will work on the is models?

My manual does not have the wheel size page that you guys keep posting for other models. It just says, "Only use sizes recommended by BMW." Never gives those recommendations.

Anyone using a 19" wheel on a 4.6is or 4.8is that can tell me what the specs on those wheels are?

Here's a post I found, seems he went 19x8.5 all around for winter, I also recall members using the 18" Style 69 (18" Sport Package 5 spokes) as winter wheels.

The 19" tire size listed is to inform you of what size (donut) spare you need for the 4.6is (or 4.8is). Those two models do NOT have room below the cargo floor for a full size spare...there's only room for the small 19" donut.

All of the e53 wheels that are 18" or larger can be mounted on the 4.6is & 4.8is. You can use all of the 18/19/20 inch size tires that I posted previously (in both threads).

OK, thank you again. I have found several sets of good looking 18 X 8.5 wheels, but no 18 X 8 wheels. I was reluctant to get stuck with an 8.5 that would not work on this car, since it only shows the 8" as being compatible. But, if all of those wheels will work, that opens up a lot of options.

Thank you
