Yup, mine does stay on after after shutting everything down. For some reason, it's not working right now. After disconnecting the motion sensor, the P light comes on with key in accessory or run mode. The only way I know it's still awake is by driver side door window switch. The rear window green light lock out button stays on when pressed. Even after 16 min, the light is still on.

Sounds like odd behavior. Like not sleeping I'm surprised about the child lock light. I'll check what my car does next time im in the same zip code.

He's saying the door lock light stays on even after 16 min.

Yea, the amp draw since unplugging the motion sensor and depressing the child lock has lowered amp draw. The X5 can be cranked over every day. Two days is still on the edge. I pulled out the Bentley manual. Sure enough, it has a consumer cut off section. I read through it. I'm going to replace the consumer cut off relay. All this time, I thought it was on the GMIII module. It's a blue relay. How amps are those?
Since the P light is not after shutdown, I'll have to determine what is keeping the light off but still awake.

What do you mean by "consumer cut off section"?
What is your amp draw right now? |

The Bentley manual has a consumer cut off section. It explains how the consumer cut off relay works. It cuts power to five accessories. The pics has them listed. Right now, I don't know the amp draw. I need to remove the tire and check it. The P light, glove box, and trunk lights don't work. So, I'm assuming the relay is bad. The power going into the temp setting assembly must be the air temp fan. I don't hear it running. The relay is supposed to blue. Mine is black. Someone has replaced it previously. I'm buying a blue one to replace the black one. The relay is under the GMIII module.
