Noisy DISA Valve?

So I like my new-to-me X5. But we are off to a nickle and dime-ing start. There are a few things not worthy of mention, but some I suspect are.

177k miles, it had a new aftermarket installed by the PO 1-2 year ago. Started it up today, and heard a noticeable rattle, sure seems to originate from the DISA.

Assuming it is, can I drive this thing until I R&R it with a German Auto Solutions kit? Or am I just waiting for the pin to get sucked into an intake valve?

Thanks
